November 11, 2017
On Saturday, November 11, the Kentucky Rural-Urban Exchange comes back to Louisville for the 2017 RUX Fall Fair. The Fall Fair kicks off at 5:00 PMat Louisville’s Fresh Start Grower’s Supply – home to the Flea Off Market, Phoenix Hill Farmer’s Market, and more – with kid’s games until 8 PM and music til’ 10 PM. Kentucky stories, music, and dancing will be provided by YAPA (traditional music from the Americas), the Kentucky Roundups with a square dance called by Alexander Calls!, Cajun two-step tunes from Double Dog Dare, and Honky Tonkin with Plum Hokum.
New this year is a variety of kids games and a petting zoo! The RUX silent auction features Kentucky items from all across the state, including RUX-designed packages to visit Kentucky communities, autographed books, excursions, original art and more. Beer and food will be available for purchase. We are grateful for the support of Fresh Start Grower’s Supply, Weeds of Eden, Nachbar, West Sixth Brewing, and Eiderdown.
We invite you to join us on 11/11 at Fresh Start Grower’s Supply. Tickets are $15 in advance and $20 at the door. Last year’s RUX Fall Fair at La La Land Studios drew nearly 200 people and raised $7,000 for our program. This event celebrates all of Kentucky and all Kentuckians, so there will be something for all tastes. All proceeds go to the Kentucky Rural-Urban Exchange.
